A new version of Microsoft Dynamics GP, known as GP 2010, was released in May. The improvements in Dynamics GP 2010 include:
- Faster planning and improved business analysis: due to role-based, personalized dashboards and KPI's that allow direct access to data in MS Dynamics GP
- Improved business intelligence: ability to perform advanced analytics such as running what-if scenario's and predictive modeling and forecasting
- Reduced steps for routine tasks: enhanced workflow with new workflows that integrate with MS SharePoint workflow

Some new functionalities found in Dynamics GP 2010 are:
- Enhanced purchase order processing with more options for returned items. More information
- The ability to make modifications easily to external facing documents in Microsoft Word. More information
- Multiple General Ledger budgets can be combined into a single budget. More information
- Improved workflow setup for new vendor approval process. More information
- The ability to drill back to detailed information in GP from an external location containing hyperlinks. More information
- Enhancements in sales forecasting functionality that allows more efficient and accurate processing. More information
- An email feature allowing users to create a predefined messages for customers and vendors. More information
